The works take into accou nt the spatial considerations of sculpture and the pictorial devices of pa inting\, operating as a hybrid between what are conventionally separate di sciplines. For this new body of work\, Hashimoto references another artist ic practice: each individual kite element portrays a graphite drawing. Val ues ranging from lightly hatched gray to dense black complement translucen t white paper\, replacing the kaleidoscope palette of cut paper collage ev idenced in previous works. The subtle hand introduced by the traced and me andering pencil lines accentuates the intricate construction of the works ’ foundation. The exhibition\, 745 Fifth Avenue\, is on view through 17 December 2011. \n<span style="font-size: 110%\;">For more information:http ://jacobhashimoto.com/current-exhibitions/ DTSTAMP:20241214T070939Z SUMMARY:Jacob Hashimoto\, "The End of Gravity" URL:/en/events/2011/11/11/jacob-hashimoto-the-end-of-gravity/ END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
