JAMsj is currently showcasing the Cranes in Flight bioquilt which was designed and grown in collaboration with community members as part of the BioQuilts project. The project aims to elevate community voices in the storytelling, materials exploration, and questions driving the future of sustainable biodesign. Participants made quilt squares grown from mycelium (the root-like structure of mushrooms) and locally sourced materials such as used coffee grounds and food waste rice and ramen.
