Learn how to get started researching your family history by taking this workshop at the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj). At the end of our session, you will be ready to begin your own research. Topics to be covered include the following:
LINDA HARMS OKAZAKI is a fourth-generation San Franciscan with a background in education. As the current president of the California Genealogical Society, she is passionate about teaching nikkei how to research, document, and share their personal family histories. Linda is a member of several genealogical associations, including the Association of Professional Genealogists, the California Genealogical Society, and the Nikkei Genealogical Society.
Must be 17 or older. Seating is limited.
Cost: $35 class fee plus admission the the museum (nonmembers, $5; students and seniors over age 65, $3; JAMsj members, free). Active JAMsj volunteers receive a $15 discount.
