---Poster Exhibition and Speaking Events

Thousands of Nikkei were exposed to the A-bombs in Japan while in school there, and hundreds of them settled in Southern California later. This event is a good opportunity to learn more about their history.

* Informative poster exhibit on the development and the use of the atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

* Accompanying speaking events by a Hiroshima survivor and a historian from Cornell University.

"Engaging Hiroshima and Nagasaki Today" at the University of Redlands is a three-week event, from March 10 to 28. It offers an informational exhibition organized by the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum that focus on the effects of the only atomic bombings ever conducted in history and provide an opportunity to think about the ramifications for us today. The posters are exhibited in the Armacost Library, Appleton Hall, Irvine Commons, Hall of Letters, and Larsen Hall through March 28.

A Hiroshima bombing survivor, Kohji Hosokawa will speak on Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m. in the Casa Loma Room. The Chair of Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, Steven Leeper will introduce him.
