My name is Melissa Kitano. I am studying my husband's family - The Kitano's who moved from Toyama, Japan to Compton, California, and the Yanaga family from Fukuoka, who moved to Gardena, California. Their internment years were spent in Manzanar and Poston 1 respectively. The Yanaga family loved to take photos. I have a great many to share and will begin to post albums as soon as I am able. Thank you for sharing your stories and photos, they have already answered some of my questions. I hope that my additions will do the same for one of you.
