Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, he worked in the Brazilian state of Amazonas as a JICA Senior Volunteer for Japanese Communities from 2010 to 2013. He currently works as a Japanese language instructor at Hamamatsu Japanese Language Institute and JICE (Japan International Center), as well as a personality on the Hamamatsu FM radio program "AMIZADE HAMAMATSU" and as an arena DJ for the professional basketball teams Hama Ants and Higashi Mikawa Phoenix.
