Living conditions
While at the front line, I slept in trenches with my buddies. Only time we got to bathe was when we were relieved. We all ate K rations. My entertainment was when the unit was not fighting. We were entertained by the USO.
Missed most whilst in the military
Home cooking.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
I fought for my country to show them that I was an American. I don't want my family to go through what I did to prove my loyalty.
