The moderator of the first debate, Célia Sakurai, during the Symposium promoted by Discover Nikkei in Brazil. Célia Sakurai has a master's degree in Political Science from USP and a PhD in Social Sciences from Unicamp. A specialist in Japanese immigration in Brazil, she was a researcher at Idesp, Nepo and other institutions in the state of São Paulo. She is a collaborator of the Historical Museum of Japanese Immigration in Brazil. In 2008, she published the book "Os Japonêsses" by Editora Contexto, which earned her 2nd place in the Jabuti Award in the category "Best Book on Human Sciences".
