Gift of Michi and Walter M. Weglyn, Japanese American National Museum (94.170.15)

Three men being escorted from a barrack room by 2 uniformed officers wielding batons. Note: Photo was given to donor, Michi Weglyn, by Wayne Collins. He was an attorney and ardent fighter for Japanese American civil rights. In terms of his work at Tule Lake, he was instrumental in closing the stockade, which served as a constant reminder of the consequences to be paid if orders were not obeyed.
