Color silent amateur footage (1940's-early 1950's) taken by Terminal Island resident Ben Fukuzaki, primarily of the Japanese American community in and around Fish Harbor, Terminal Island, and San Pedro, California.
This segment shows the Academy of Fashion Art, located on Terminal Island; interiors of the Academy; floral bouquets with Japanese-language labels; dresses on mannequins; office furnishings; three women, possibly staff or students, sitting in the offices and posing before the Academy's front door (01:19).
