Alessandro Meregaglia is an archivist and assistant professor at Boise State University's Special Collections and Archives, where he has worked since 2016. He earned a Master of Library Science from Indiana University specializing in archives and records management as well as a Master of Arts in History focusing on twentieth-century American history.

Eighty years ago, on Feb. 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066, which led to more than 100,000 people of Japanese ancestry living in the western United States being moved into internment camps.
