Luis Filipe Fukutani


Luis Filipe Fukutani is a 4th generation mixed Japanese born in Brazil. In 2003 he moved to Canada but it was 2015 when he began getting involved in the local Japanese Community Center in Montreal, Canada, volunteering in events, creating language exchange programs, and more. He moved to Japan in 2021 as part of the JET Programme to teach English as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher), which is something he’s always wanted to do but life circumstances delayed his plans over and over.
