 gie! &lt;/em&gt;relates the true story of Shig’s childhood pet\, a wild scave
 nger magpie bird\, that was his companion while incarcerated at Heart Moun
 tain concentration camp in Wyoming during WWII. The story of their adventu
 res is illustrated by Oscar-winning animator\, Willie Ito.\n\nThe original
  edition of &lt;em&gt;Hello Maggie&lt;/em&gt; has sold 15\,000 copies and this new v
 ersion has meant that the book has been out of print for over a year so it
 s arrival is long-awaited.\n\nThis program is presented in conjunction wit
