By the end of the decade\, with the influx o f former residents of the West Coast\, the number of Japanese in Chicago g rew exponentially. But who were those early Japanese Chicagoans? Where and how did they live?\nOn <strong>Sunday\, September 26</strong>\, we will meet some of the Japanese who lived in Chicago before World War II. Mayumi Hoshino\, doctoral candidate at Indiana University Bloomington\, will hig hlight some of the significant moments and key figures in the city's Japan ese community between the 1890s and the early 1930s.
