Portland Taiko presents: Gaman Past and Present

Performing Arts
In Person
PSU Lincoln Performance Hall
1620 SW Park Ave Portland, Oregon, United States of America

Date: Oct. 11, 2025

Time: 7 p.m.

Our forebears embraced the spirit of gaman -- enduring the Great Depression, back-breaking labor and incarceration in internment camps. With patience and dignity, they built a better future. At our upcoming concert, we will honor their legacy and aspire to carry forward the spirit of gaman.

Last year’s concert sold out quickly. This year, we’re offering two performances:

Portland Taiko presents Gaman: Past and Present with special guest, The Minidoka Swing Band

- Saturday Oct. 11th at 7 pm
- Sunday Oct. 12th at 2 pm

Both performances take place at Portland State University, College of the Arts, Lincoln Performance Hall.

Ticket prices:
$40 (general admission)
$28 (students)

Please visit portlandtaiko.org for more info and tickets.

This event is supported by the City of Portland Office of Arts & Culture and the Arts Access Fund.
