Community Event
In Person
Orange County Buddhist Church
909 S. Dale Ave. Anaheim, California, United States of America

Date: July 19, 2025 – July 20, 2025

Time: 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Celebrate summer at the Orange County Buddhist Church’s annual Obon Festival as we commemorate our 60th Anniversary. Obon (Gathering of Joy) is an opportunity to memorialize our deceased and reflect on the Dharma.

OCBC’s Daion and Seishun Taiko groups will have exciting performances at 4 and 6 PM each day. We close out each evening at 6:30 PM with Bon Odori Dancing. All are encouraged to participate.

Food booths will be selling fresh corn, teriyaki beef and chicken, grilled ika (squid), wontons, sata andagi, spam musubi, imagawayaki, dango dogs, chicken salad, shaved ice, boba teas, sushi, somen, and baked goods! Play fun games and win prizes. Shop at the boutique and white elephant sale for unique gifts and items for the home. Enter the raffle for a chance to win exciting gifts.

The Festival hours are 2 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday, July 19, and 2 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, July 20.

Admission is FREE with ample parking at Magnolia High School on 2450 W. Ball Rd. Anaheim, CA 92804. Shuttle service to and from OCBC will be running throughout the festival.

OCBC offers Obon Dance Practice Sessions in the OCBC parking lot on the following dates from 7 to 8 PM: June 30, July 2, 7, 9, 14, & 16, 2025.
