Celebrate the beauty of spring under the cherry blossoms at Hanami, our annual community care event!

Enjoy a warm Japanese curry-rice lunch, get creative with button-making and origami, and take part in a special tribute to the late Elder Clint, who played a vital role in past community care events.

All materials are provided, and everyone is welcome! Let’s celebrate the season together!

Thank you to our partners and sponsors: Carnegie Community Centre, WePress, and the Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall.

Location

Hanami will take place at Oppenheimer Park, in Vancouver’s Paueru Gai (Downtown Eastside) area. Located on the 400-block of Powell Street, between Dunlevy and Jackson Ave, Oppenheimer Park is also the site of our annual Powell Street Festival.
