Orange County Buddhist Church (OCBC) will be commemorating the birth of the historical Buddha with a celebration of Japanese Culture at their Hanamatsuri (Flower) Festival. This event will have games and prizes, handcrafted items for sale, traditional Japanese entertainment and exhibits, and delicious food featuring some new items.

Experience Japanese culture through live demonstrations by martial artists, singers, classical dancers, and taiko drum performances by OCBC’s Daion and Seishun Taiko. Cultural displays will include examples of rare Japanese artifacts, swords, bonsai, tea ceremony, kimekomi dolls, ikebana, and calligraphy. The Hondo (Main Hall) will be open for tours with opportunities for visitors to pour sweet tea on a statue of the infant Buddha atop a beautiful floral arrangement.

Location: OCBC, 909 S. Dale Avenue, Anaheim, 92804

Dates: Saturday, April 12, 2025, 1 PM to 7 PM & Sunday April 13, 2025, 1 PM to 7 PM

Admission is FREE with parking at Magnolia High School on 2450 W. Ball Road in Anaheim. Shuttle service to and from the festival will be running from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
