The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre (NIMC) is thrilled to announce its 30th anniversary celebration, scheduled for June 22 & 23, 2024, at the NIMC, 306 Josephine St., New Denver, British. This milestone event promises to be a poignant reflection on history, a celebration of cultural resilience, and an opportunity to connect with the Nikkei community.

Save the Date: June 22 & 23, 2024. We cordially invite you to save the date for this special occasion. Event schedule and booking information will be released May 22. Campspots have been reserved for this event please email if you would like one.

EXTENDED Call for Artists & Speakers: We are excited to invite artists and speakers to participate in this commemorative event. If you are an artist or speaker interested in contributing to our 30th anniversary celebration, please submit your interest to nikkei@newdenver.ca. We are particularly interested in presentations, artwork, or performances that explore themes related to Japanese Canadian history, resilience, cultural heritage, and reconciliation.

The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre’s 30th Anniversary is a commemoration of the past and an opportunity to thank the communities, organizations, and individuals who have supported the NIMC in the past and present. We hope you will join us in honouring this critical milestone.
