The first World Sanshin Festival is being organized by the newly-formed Sanshin Culture Promotion Council in Okinawa, whose mission is to revitalize interest in this beloved treasure of our people and to nurture the next generation of musicians and craftspersons.

They are currently crowdfunding for the festival and revitalization efforts.
