Prepare for the 2018 Shingon Shu Hawaii 2018 Obon Festival! Obon is an annual Buddhist event for commemorating one’s ancestors. It’s believed that each year during obon, the ancestors’ spirits return to this world to visit their relatives. Celebrate this summer festival with the family as you enjoy food, dancing, and more!

The Shingon Shu Hawaii Temple in Honolulu, Hawaii, is located less than ten minutes by foot from the world-famous Ala Moana Shopping Center! The temple is a congregational Buddhist body interested in studying and sharing the faith of Shingon esoteric Buddhism.
