Don't miss Kapaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple's 2018 obon festival! Bring the family to experience this summer celebration of Japanese culture, heritage, and religion featuring both traditional and island food, song, and dance. Welcome back the spirits of the ancestors as you dance to the rhythm of the taiko drums and spend time with the ones you love!

Kapaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple has been serving Kauai since 1922. The temple belongs to the Jodo Shinshu Buddhism, one of the Pure Land Stream of Mahayana Buddhism. It is one of 36 temples affiliated with the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii.
