In Person

Date: Feb. 17, 2017 – Feb. 19, 2017

On the 14th, players Lucas Muraguchi, Renan Yudji Higashi, Guilherme Sakaji Kido, Matheus Keiji Sato and Renan Bueno Machado from the Ishindaiko Group from Londrina will be traveling to Boston in the United States to give lectures and conduct workshops at the 2017 East Coast Taiko Conference Final Concert from February 17th to 19th. The Group was invited by the Gendo Daiko Group from Providence, Rhode Island, to give lectures and workshops at this conference, which will also feature professional taiko artist and teacher Hase Mikita from Shizuoka, Japan. Their music, with its traditional Japanese touches mixed with Brazilian ginga, led the Gendo Daiko Group to invite Ishindaiko to be one of the main protagonists of the event. The Ishindaiko Group from Londrina has won 6 Brazilian titles with original and original songs and has performed at various events in several Brazilian states. The event will be held at Brown University Rhode Island and the School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island.
