This exhibit marks the 30th Anniversary of the Puget Sound Sumi Artists. It highlights the artists' wide variety of styles, from traditional to experimental, as well as their creative use of sumi  in various techniques and forms.

A reception is scheduled Saturday October 8, 2016, 1 - 4 pm. Light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.  Fumiko Kimura, a cofounder of PSSA, will present merit awards. Member artists will offer free demonstrations of sumi art, including painting, calligraphy, sumi/collage, haiga, and other art forms.

Puget Sound Sumi Artists, a regional group of about 80 artists, was organized in
Tacoma in 1986 to promote the understanding and appreciation of Asian brush  and ink art.
