Experience the powerful drumbeats of taiko and the colorful dances of Okinawa as two of Maui's Okinawan cultural groups come together to bring you an exciting afternoon of classical, folk and contemporary performances in drumming, song and dance.

The recital, Suruti Chibarana-Striving Together , highlights Maui Okinawa Taiko 's 15th and Jimpu Kai Maui 's 10th anniversary. As part of the Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai, both organizations are dedicated to increasing awareness of the culture of Okinawa.

Show time is Sunday, June 24th, 2:00 pm at Baldwin High School Auditorium in Wailuku. Tickets are $12 for general admission; $10 for Seniors 55 and over & Children 12 and under.
