Written by Célia Abe Hi Fri, March 2, 2012 12:00 www.bunkyo.org.br On March 10 and 11, Saturday and Sunday, Japanese-Brazilian community organizations will hold two celebrations to commemorate the first year since the earthquake and tsunami that destroyed several locations in eastern Japan. On March 10, Saturday, at 9:00 a.m., a Catholic Mass will be held at the São Gonçalo Church, in Praça João Mendes, downtown São Paulo. “We would like to extend our invitation to everyone; we wanted as many people as possible to be together on that day. In addition to a posthumous service, there will also be a prayer for the speedy recovery of all victims of this tragedy,” emphasized Reverend Kyohaku Correia, president of the Federation of Buddhist Schools of Brazil.
