Join the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU as they welcome Larry Hama as their 2011-2012 Artist-in-Residence.

Hama is well know for his immense contributions to the fiedl of comic art. He was behind several series including The 'Nam , Nth Man: Ultimate Ninja , Wolverine , among others and is the creator of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero . He participated in the Asian American movement, working on the seminal Yellow Pearl boxed art collection. Hama will speak on his project plans for an online comic anthology for his tenure at A/P/A Institute.

This event is also the exhibition opening for "Marvels & Monsters: Unmasking Asian Images in U.S. Comics, 1942-1986."

Free and open to the public.
