East West Players and Southern California Edison is presenting a free performance of DAWN'S LIGHT: The Journey of Gordon Hirabayashi at the Alhambra Civic Library.

This play is based on the true story of a Japanese American interned during WWII who refused evacuation orders as a violation of his civil rights and became a federal prisoner. His 1942 conviction was not overturned until 1987. 

Admissions: FREE 
Seating is first come first serve and limited capacity so make sure you get there early!

This presentation is part of East West Player's Theater for Youth program, an education initiative that is meant to promote greater cultural understanding and racial tolerance amongst youth through the performing arts.
