The Press and Diffusion Secretary of the Argentine Nikkei Center informs: WEEKLY AGENDA OF ACTIVITIES RELATED TO JAPAN ________________________________________________ Monday, August 31 to Sunday, September 7, 2009 MONDAY 31 . Exhibition of Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) and Haiku (Japanese poetry) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires (Av. Casares y Berro, Cdad. de Bs. As.). Entrance: $ 5.- . Exhibition of Okinawan Art (until September 13) at the Recoleta Cultural Center (Junín 1930, Cdad. de Bs. As.) WEDNESDAY 2 . Radio program: "JAPAN TODAY". The following topics are presented: "Customs and traditions of Japan", "presentation of the Nikkei Entrepreneurs Group (REN)" and an interview with the prominent Argentine Nikkei, Lic. Juan Alberto Matsumoto (correspondent in Japan), among others. On Radio Palermo FM 93.9, from 5 to 6 pm. www.japon-hoy.com.ar or www.radiopalermo.com.ar. Origami demonstration (4 pm) and Furoshiki (5 pm) at the Japanese Garden (Casares y Berro avenue, Buenos Aires City). Admission: $ 5.- THURSDAY 3rd . Tea Ceremony Demonstration, 2:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center of the Japanese Embassy (Paraguay 1126, Bs. As.) SATURDAY 5 . Presentation of the Nikkei Entrepreneurs Program (REN), 7 p.m. at the headquarters of the Argentine Nikkei Center (Bulnes 841, Bs. As.). Japanese group "Wabunnka", 11 a.m. Ikebana demonstration, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Japanese Garden (Casares y Berro avenues, Bs. As.) Admission: $8.- SUNDAY 6 . Open Origami (paper folding) workshop, 4:30 p.m. at the Recoleta Cultural Center (Junín 1930, Bs. As.) Ikebana demonstration (flower arrangement art), 10 am - 5:30 pm. Samurai performance, 5 pm.
