What does the Muslim Student Association have to do with the Nikkei Student Union? What do Muslim Americans and Japanese Americans have in common? Why are civil rights and the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII still relevant in 2009?

To learn the answer come to NSU's annual Day of Remembrance!

Program events include a panel of student and community speakers, a short documentary, free food, cultural entertainment, and more!

We're going to show the documentary "9066 to 9/11" and the panel includes prominent playwright Hiroshi Kashiwagi, Professor Hatem Bazian of UC Berkeley, Muslim American activist Dina El-Nakhal, and community leader Andy Noguchi.
