Symposium: 100 Years of Japanese Immigration: The Multiple Identities of the Nikkei Community The year of the Centennial of Japanese Immigration in Brazil offers a unique opportunity to discuss and showcase the history of the Japanese-Brazilian community. With the aim of delving deeper into the main issues surrounding the Japanese presence and Nikkei migration to Japan, their identity and contributions, this symposium will bring together testimonies from some of the protagonists of this journey. They will present the paths they have taken and their experiences, which will allow for reflections on the past and debates on the contemporary.
