"Finding Home" is a documentary about Japanese Americans who decided to live in Japan instead of the United States where they were born and raised, and what they gained and lost as a result. The film is written in the form of interviews with six Japanese Americans selected from 50 people, who talk about their lifestyles, identities, and insights they gained from their experience living in Japan, their own home country. Nomura, who visited his home country for the first time at age 57, answers questions about his own experiences and thoughts in the film. With the support of a Fulbright Scholarship, Nomura made the film during the fall and winter of 2003. "Finding Home" is an official selection of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Dallas Video Festival, the Dis-Orient Film Festival, and the Fukuoka Asian Film Festival. The film's director, Art Nomura, is currently a professor in the Film and Television Department at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
