The 46th Convention of Japanese Abroad will be held on the following dates, sponsored by the Association of Japanese Abroad. Dates and times: Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th, and Thursday 15th September 2005 Theme: Overseas Nikkei Community Taking on the Challenges of a New Era - Its Goals and Challenges Venue: Constitutional Memorial Hall (Ceremony Venue) and Institute for International Cooperation (Representatives Meeting) This convention is held every year with the aim of bringing together Japanese people living overseas in Japan, informing Japan of the current situation in their home countries, deepening international exchange, understanding, and goodwill, and promoting and strengthening global understanding of Japan.
