Nisei Lounge 2007The Nisei Lounge was a hangout for Japanese American bachelors in Chicago in the 1950s and 1960s. It is now a watering hole for singles in an upscale neighborhood.

Hamburger King Restaurant 2007The Hamburger King as it stands today. The original Japanese American food restaurant founded by Thomas Yamauchi. The restaurant first catered to Japanese American bachelors with it's casual home cooking style. During the 1980's it was favorite among Chicago artists. |
