100 Years of Japanese Immigration: The multiple identities of the Nikkei community The year of the centennial of Japanese immigration to Brazil allows a unique opportunity to discuss and show the history of the Japanese Brazilian community. In order for a deeper exploration of the main issues concerning the Japanese Brazilians, their identities and contributions, this symposium will examine stories on both the individual and community levels.
